(From Our Own Correspondent) Amoy, June 3 – H. M. the King's birthday celebrations took place in delightful weather. People of many nationalities packed the Amoy Club Theatre at noon, where the British Consul, Mr. W. Meyrick Hewlett, C. M. G., proposed the continued good health of the King and made a short speech, part of which in Chinese. In the afternoon, the British community gave an 'At Home' on the Recreation Ground, which was continued at night in the Amoy Club Theatre, where a cinema show and dancing were arranged.
