There was a large audience at the Victoria Theatre last night, when 'The Battle of the Ancre' was screened, and it is hardly necessary to say that it quite came up to expectations, depicting, as it did. The film, from the point of view of a true record of what is going on in France, and as an example of the art of film producer, bears the hallmark of perfection. Every scene is remarkably clear. The management of the theatre showed considerable enterprise in securing another film to fill in the programme, showing what is issuing down in our naval air service and in the making of munitions. These films were exceptionally interesting. Among those present were His Excellency Sir Henry May, Miss May, the Hon. J. H. Kemp and several other well-known people.
