This evening, there will be screened at the Bijou the first number of Pathe's War Gazette. This film is 1,500 feet long and includes other interesting items, including: A captured German ship being towed into Yarmouth Harbour, the French trips crossing the frontier into Germany, Earl Kitchener's 100,000 army recruits receiving their pay, scenes in Paris on the declaration of war with Germany, conscripts leaving Paris for the military depots, a British Parseval airship flying over Kent, young recruits being initiated in the grim realities of war, sea scouts assisting coastguards by patrolling Britain's shores, King George in naval uniform on board the cruisers Australia and New Zealand, the British expeditionary force entraining for the front, and British Dragoons depositing their colours in Westminster Abbey before, proceeding to the front.
