Summary
Writing from Vienna on the Carpentier-Townley bout, a Daily Express correspondent says. – The fight lasted barely five minutes. Townley had his right eyelid cut at the beginning of the first round. When he rose for the second time, Carpentier delivered a knock-out blow on the jaw and Townley was counted out. A member of the Austrian Boxers Association told me that the film pictures of the fight will decide whether Carpentier shall be disqualified. One-third of the spectators were women, who showed more excitement than the men.
