Summary
The cinematograph is very likely before long to occupy an important place in elementary education. The London County Council have been considering its possibilities for some time. With a portable apparatus, which can be used in any classroom, and a daylight screen, both of which have been provided for less than the sum of £100 granted by the Chiswick Education Committee, they are illustrating lessons in geography history, and nature study. The effect of the first cinematograph lesson has been so good that the Committee is going on with a definite programme of industrial and geographical films.
