Summary

The management of the Alexandra Cinematograph gave free a fine show for the large throng of children at 6 p.m. This Cinematograph is now giving two shows nightly, which are well attended. Performances by Professor Vincent and Miss Rosa Barnes. The Victoria's popularity is still high, and full houses assemble nightly to see their excellent films and to appreciate the singing and dancing of Adson and Thorne and Miss Cealia [sic]. The New Cinematograph (Star Cinematograph), which was to have opened on Saturday night, was unfortunate in being unable to show on account of their light failing. A goodly gathering had taken their seats, but entrance fees were returned with apologies. Bright and roomy premises have been secured in Wyndham Street.
