Summary
Report of the Committee of Management to be submitted to the annual meeting of shareholders in and subscribers to the City Hall. There is a detailed description of the theatre's building and some of the performances. For instance, during the twelve months from 1st July, 1896, to 30th June 1897, the theatre was engaged by the Rifle Brigade, Mr Burton, Miss Elsie Adair, the Smoking Concerts Club, the Amateur Dramatic Club, Japanese Jugglers, Mr Marks, Hudson's Surprise party, the 'Rainbow' Minstrels, and Pollard's Lilliputian Opera Company, and during the year the St. Andrew's Hall was put at the disposal of those engaged in charitable and educational objects, free of charge.
