Summary
Shameen, November 10 – The concert at the close of the King's Birthday celebration was a huge success, 400 seats were provided and latecomers had to stand. It was a happy idea to have the cinematograph and the band of the 13th Rajputs. Miss H. Thorne was demanded to have an encore for each of her two songs. Bandmaster Coke directed the band accomplishment effectively, and the result was a pleasing whole. Mr. Hannibal kept the audience laughing, and Captain Walcott sang 'Nancy Lee.' The band played 'The Boys of the Old Brigade,' and 'God saves the queen.'
