Summary

Saturday is always a special occasion for cinema-goers and it is fitting therefore that today the Coronet Theatre should be showing a special feature attraction. This is 'The Conquering Power,' the film version of Balzac's novel, 'Eugenie Grandet.' Made by the producer Rex Ingram, 'The Conquering Power' is a successor to 'The Four Horsemen.' Rudolph Valentino and Alice Terry take the leading roles. Others in the cast include Ralph Lewis and Edward Connolley. 'The Conquering Power' is a picture that boasts no 'gripping sensations,' no startling thrills, but for all that it is a distinct triumph of the screen, possessing alike fine intellectual quality.
