Summary

Victor Hugo was eminent as one of the greatest dramatic poet of his day before he gave to the world, in 1831, his great tragic romance, 'Notre Dame de Paris,' the magnificent film version of which comes to the Coronet Theatre this evening under its original title of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame.' Universal found it necessary to build in Universal City an exact replica of the Cathedral of Notre Dame. In point of fact 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' proved the most expensive picture ever made.
