Singular as the second title is the new feature attraction which comes to the Coronet Theatre this afternoon, the picture itself is still more singular. 'The Silent Voice' or 'The Man Who Played God' is one of those rare pictures which have marked characteristics all their own. The story was not written for the movies but comes first from a book and secondly from a noted stage success. A much greater influence, however, is the fine acting of Mr. George Arlies [sic] in the leading role. The man who played the god is John Arden, the celebrated musician. Film synopsis included. It can be added that United Arliss [sic], the producers, have taken the fullest advantage of their opportunity. They have made a picture which will create a profound impression besides giving endless enjoyment.
