That disturbances have become frequent at the Eastern and the Tai Yat cinemas, run by the Hongkong Amusements Ld. [sic] owing to rowdies and deadheads, was the gist of the opening statement made by Mr. R. E. A. Webster. A young Chinese for threatening Lo Kok-fai, manager of the Eastern Cinema in Queen's Road East. In reply to the Magistrate, Sergeant Shaftain said that the detective who was informed of the defendant's name by the manager of the theatre, happened to know the accused. This detective made the arrest.
