As already briefly reported, Devonshire House, the famous mansion in Piccadilly has been sold for a million guineas. It is to be pulled down, and in its place will be built: A palatial cinema with seating accommodation for 5,000 people; A spacious dancing hall; A restaurant and tea-rooms. The purchasers of the property are Mr. Shurmer Sibthorp of Southampton street, Holborn, and Mr. Laurence Harrison, the Liverpool steamship owner.
