Summary
Mr. James Christie, the proprietor of the Metropole Hotel, Shaukiwan Road, has shown great enterprise after he took over that property. The hotel possesses a large room which is a ballroom; the dais has been converted into a stage. Saturday is the opening night for the theatrical performance. The theatre was well filled with the curtain rose, and the 'show' seemed to give general satisfaction. Performances by Tom Morcomb, Miss Gertie Maisie, Mr. Christie, McCormick and Walter King. The American biograph showed the Corbett-Jeffries fight.
