The Salon Cinema Theatre, Wyndham Street, is now in working order. The building had been thoroughly renovated and made fireproof in all its parts. All seats have a clear view of the stage, and to effect this improvement the walls have been considerably raised, also the floor at the entrance. Several iron ventilators have been put into the roof to ensure a thorough circulation of air. The architect, who had direction of the renovating work, is Mr. G. J. B. Sayer. As to the performances, patrons are promised the best Pathe Freres' films and artistes of good standing and repute. Mr. Alex. Almosoff [sic], the managing director, and his partner, Mr. C. Metzinger, director, beg to notify that they have decided to give once a month a performance, the proceeds of which will be devoted to local charities.
