Peking, March 28 – In the near future it may be possible, by the grace of the Peking police, for a Chinese gentleman to sit with his womenfolk when he takes them to the theatre or the cinema. The police have given permission for the experiment to be made at the Hua Lo theatre. Special men have been detailed to watch how it works out and if the report is satisfactory. It is anticipated that all theatres will be permitted to break their old rules. The trial is to last for two months. – Chung Mei.
