Hongkong's new theatre, one of the finest buildings of its kind in the Far East, will be thrown open to the public tomorrow, May 1, with a special programme. The handsome structure will seat 1,400 people with ease and comfort and is splendidly illuminated throughout. Striking as is its exterior it is nothing in comparison with its interior. It is fitted with an extra-large stage and has special boxes on the upper floor at the far end of the building, constructed along the lines of the most modern European play-houses. From May 2 to 5, the management announces the showing of the super film 'The Hero' – a charming story of love, romance and adventure, that has had long runs wherever it has been exhibited. Booking for boxes, dress circle and stalls will be at the Theatre.
