Summary

Seven men were charged before Mr. Dyer Ball, at the Police Court this morning, with behaving in a disorderly manner at the Kei You [sic] Fong Theatre. Only two of them appeared, the bail money of the others being estreated. It was stated by Sergeant Cockle that the men were from the North pressing through to the South. A crowd of them went to the theatre and took ten cent tickets. They were not satisfied with the seats and later, about forty men rushed the 80 cents seats and refused to go out. Some of the men were very quarrelsome, and witness had to draw his revolver to frighten them. The men were all due to go away today, and so the trouble would close. His worship gave the men a severe warning and told them to get back to the ship.
