Summary

For assaulting a coolie employed in a theatrical company now performing in the Ko Sing [sic] theatre, a ticket collector employed by the same theatre appearing before Mr. R. E. Lindsell. Inspector O'Sullivan informed the Magistrate that after defendant told complainant to clear away, he found him sitting on the stage and having no ticket. The latter persisted in remaining and defendant was alleged to have pushed him down the stage about eight feet high. The fall rendered him unconscious and necessitated his removal to the hospital. The Inspector added that he objected to bail as it was a serious charge. The case was adjourned for a week.
