Summary

Shanghai, Nov 27 – Mr. Bernard Goldenberg, Manager of the Victoria Cinema, was found dead in his room. It is believed that the murderer escaped after removing a valuable diamond ring, worth $900, from the body. He was the Manager of the Ramos amusement. Ramos Bros. leased the old Victoria Theatre in Hongkong, the material for which went to build the Star Theatre at Kowloon: but it was not the same company as that in Shanghai, nor, we learn, is Mr. Goldenberg related to the Hongkong family of the name. He was in the Philippines during the war with America and served with the Spanish forces, afterwards with Mr. Ramos conducting a hotel in Manila. Later he joined the Ramos interests in the film business.
