Summary

Films that are torn, scratched, patched, oil-stained and out-of-date; Gazettes that are three to six months old; comedies that have nothing but their vulgarity to recommend them; projection as it was understood in 1913; music that is noise rather than melody--you will find none of these things at the Coronet, which shows the only 1921 films that come to Hongkong, the only British topical pictures to be seen here, all the screen masterpieces as they are available and which has the most up-to-date projection, the most comfortable seats, and the finest theatre orchestra in the east. Were we possessed of 'Alf's Button' and could drop the little house in regent street? Just as it stands, it would at once take its place as one of the leading London picture houses.
