The cinematograph has invaded almost every corner of the civilized world. It has entertained the illiterate, possibly acquainted them with many wonders they knew not of, and the pictures continued to attain a higher degree of perfection as the years roll on. The London County Council had overtures made to them as to prohibition of 'Sunday show,' and the subject was relegated to the theatres and Music Halls Committee for the fullest inquiry. Deputations were received and heard, the topic was closely scrutinised, and the report has been issued showing that there is a public demand for Sunday exhibitions, and, further, that these entertainments might fulfil a legitimate and useful purpose.
