We have been taken to task for our suggestions the other day in regard to the future of Hongkong's Theatre. It will be remembered we commented on the many deficiencies and manifest discomforts of the Theatre Royal, yet confessed that the trustees, who even now find the City Hall something of a burden rather than a source of golden inspiration, could not be expected to effect the many expensive improvements so patently necessary. Our idea was that the Government should acquire the City Hall and Theatre from the trustees.
