Summary
The Friday, Saturday and Sunday programme at the Victoria Theatre was as well patronised as such an excellent bill of fare deserved to be. The Pathe Gazette was a particularly good one and the special war pictures beyond praise. The centre-piece was a beautifully staged romantic play: 'The Golden Sword Knot,' done in Messrs Pathe's best style. A new serial, 'The Black Box,' which is founded on a story by Mr. E. P. Oppenheim, was also begun and promises to be exciting. Tonight, there is a special show, at which the band of the 18th Infantry will be present; and tomorrow night, further episodes of 'The Black Box,' together with a new Wiffles' picture and other comics, will be given. Mr. Frederick Coleman will lecture on 'From Ypres to Mons.'
