Summary

There was quite a full house last night at the Victoria Theatre when a combination bill was presented, the first part being the screening of Epoch 6 of 'The Count of Monte Christo' [sic], and a variety entertainment by the Cottrells. This masterpiece of Dumas has been correctly dramatised, and an immediate impression is gained of the excellence of the acting. The acrobatic feats by the Cottrell Brothers elicited loud applause. The Gazette gave us a vivid picture of past America played in the war. Bookings for Saturday are heavy. Those who wish to see 'The Count of Monte Christo [sic]' and the Cottrells should secure their seats early.
