The Victoria Theatre was filled to the doors last night by a highly appreciative audience, the occasion being a special variety entertainment in compliment to Mr. J. Blake, the popular night manager. The programme was a long one, including the performances offered by Bimbo Drake, Mr. Bob Stevenson [sic], Miss Rowley, Miss Addie Leigh, Miss Ethel Smith, Mr. Joe Verne, Mr. Moss and so on.
