Summary
The new Victoria Theatre, built by Messrs Ramos and Ramos, of the Empire Cinematograph, opens tomorrow evening at 9 o'clock. The theatre, which has taken nine months to complete, is the finest of its kind in Hong Kong. It was built by Messrs. Palmer and Turner. The accommodation is greater than Theatre Royal. Concrete and iron are used throughout, the theatre is prettily decorated and lighted by electric lamps of 2,000 candle power. The dress circle consists of 50 reserved seats and 100 unreserved, with two boxes holding six persons each. The body of the theatre, stalls and pit, holds 510 seats, 30 of these being reserved stalls. There are also two boxes on the ground floor. The building itself is 100 x 190 feet.
