Summary
When the young English writer, John Russell, wrote 'Where the Pavement Ends' in 1921, he was hailed by the critics as 'the new Kipling.' For those who have not read the book, it should be explained that 'Where the Pavement Ends' is a volume of short stories. One of these stories, 'The Passion Vine,' has been made into a film, and this film is being screened at the Coronet Theatre this evening under the general name of the whole volume – 'Where the Pavement Ends.'
