Summary

Would the discovery of the Luxor tombs of Kings by Carnavon have been as interesting if they only contained the body of a Prince instead of a former King of Egypt? The true story of those earlier days of romance is in 'The Dancer of the Nile' now showing at the World Theatre. The cast was selected with a care bordering on caution, and consists principally of Carmel Myers as the dancer, Malcolm McGregor and June Elvidge [sic]. The production of the picture follows the public interest aroused over the recent discovery of the ancient tombs at Luxor, Egypt. The subject is more than timely and well done. The direction, handled by William P. S. Earle, is unusually good, while most of the credit must go to the studio mechanics who turned out a production colossal in the way of massive sets. One set, a temple of pillars, said to be the largest ever seen on the screen, is reputed to have cost many thousands of dollars and it is worth every penny of it to the picture. The other attractions are the King's Birthday Celebration in Hongkong and Captain D'Oisy in Shanghai.
