World Theatre will be screening King Vidor's first Goldwyn production 'Three Wise Fools.' The film was adapted from Austin Strong's comedy-drama by King Vidor, who also directed it. The film features Eleanor Boardman who is famous for her role in Rupert Hughes' 'Souls for Sale.' The 'Three Wise Fools' of the title are played by Claude Gillingwater, William H. Crane and Alec Francis. Gillingwater is known for his work in John Golden and Winchell Smith's stage productions three seasons ago. His role is as gripping as was his part in 'Remembrance.' The cast also includes John Sainpolis, Brinsley Shaw, Lucien Littlefield, Zasu Pitts, who is known for his role in 'Greed,' Eric [sic] Von Stroheim's picturization of Frank Norris' 'McTeague.' In the flashback sequence showing 'The Three Wise Fools' as youths Craig Biddle Jr., Creighton Hale and Raymond Hatton. Martha Mattex, Fred J. Butler, Charles Hickman, Fred Esmelton and William Haines are also in the cast.
