Summary

World Theatre is screening 'Slave of Desire' which was made at Goldwyn studio for distribution by Goldwyn-Cosmopolitan. The film is Charles Whittaker's adaptation of Honore de Balzac's story 'Magic Skin.' Gilbert E. Gable, president of Achievement Films, Inc., and George D. Baker, the director decided to cast George Walsh for the role of hero, Raphael Valentin. Mr. Walsh recently completed the role of Rawdon Crawley in Hugo and Mabel Ballin's 'Vanity Fair.' They decided to cast Bessie Love for the role of heroine, Pauline Gaudin. Miss Love was also acting for Goldwyn in Marshal Nielan's [sic] own screen story 'The Eternal Three.' The supporting cast includes Carmel Myres, Wally Van, Edward Connelly, Eulalie Jensen, Herbert Prior, William Orlamond, Nicholas de Ruiz, William von Hardenburg, Harmon McGregor, George Periolat, Harry Lorraine and Calvert Carter.
