Summary

When people talk about a film as they are talking about 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame,' that film is worth seeing. This masterly film version of Victor Hugo's novel is now showing to crowded houses daily. Lon Chaney as the hunchback, and Patsy Ruth Miller as the gipsy girl. The skilful filming under the direction of that master producer Carl Laemmle, and the magnificent staging, including as it does a wonderful replica of the church Notre Dame round which so much of the narrative is woven.
