Summary

Rarely has it been given to a moving picture to create such a furor in artistic circles as did 'Salome' upon its first presentation in New York a few months ago. Ancient Greece and its glorious poesy had an irresistible attraction for Oscar Wilde. To make the film was no easy matter. Nazimova, a true emotional actress, never had a part with such possibilities and her acting dominates the whole play.
