Summary

A few illuminating comments were made by an eminent musical critic recently, after he had visited Griffith's big film, 'Orphans of the Storm.' He mentioned the artistic fashion in which the Great Song of Liberty, the Marseillaise, was interpolated into the score during the big battle between the last of the Royalist forces and the hordes of the People. And when, in the end, with the People triumphant, the thunderous notes of the Anthem of Liberty rang out in complete and solemn beauty.
