The first screening of 'Barbary Sheep' at the Hongkong Theatre yesterday was marked by a crowded attendance to witness what was a magnificent production. With that artistic touch which has characterised his other productions. Tourneur has succeeded in holding the interest of the audience whilst he unfolds before their gaze scenes very popular associated with the mystic East revolving round of an impressionable English girl. Sumptuous indeed were several oriental settings, and one noticed the careful regard for detail which the producer has visualised in the endeavour to secure the necessary atmosphere. It must have been a costly production, and the management of the theatre is to be congratulated in their policy of not increasing the prices, in order that the public may have every chance of enjoying what is a really first-class picture.
