Those who have not seen 'The Sack of Rome' or those who have, for it will well bear a second view – still have an opportunity of doing so, this being the concluding day's presentation of Guazzoni's impressive film at the Coronet. The scenes take the spectator back to the days of the Pontiff's temporal power, and the contest between Clement VII and Emperor Charles V, with the assault upon the walls of the Eternal City, furnishes a remarkable spectacle of late-mediaeval warfare. A noble maiden's romance adds to the interest.
