Summary

The new Queen's Theatre, erected by the Hongkong Engineering and Construction Company, is an example of what the Colony can do to provide for the comfort of the theatre-going population. Nor are there many theatres in the Far East much better than our maligned municipal venture – the Theatre Royal, or the Star Theatre in Kowloon. While on local theatres, the enterprise of the Coronet is well worthy of mention. Cramped though it is for space, it has built up a temporary facade in keeping with the picture being shown this week – The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
