Summary

The Theatre Royal was crowded last night at the second demonstration of Thos. A. Edison's latest invention, the 'Kinetophone.' The demonstration consisted of 6 pieces: 'Julius Caesar'; Chimes of Normandy'; 'An Indian Girl's Revenge'; 'Jack's Joke'; and 'Edison's Minstrels.' The performance was certainly a most striking success, and demonstrated the usefulness and the completeness of the invention. The demonstrations will be continued during the week, and will doubtless attract large houses.
