Summary

The Shriek of Araby,' the new Ben Turpin picture which met with such success in the Coronet Theatre comes to the Star Theatre this evening. 'The Shriek of Araby' is a burlesque of 'The Sheik' which was shown in the Colony a couple of weeks ago. Consisting of five capital reels, 'The Shriek of Araby,' it should be mentioned, is not all burlesque. There are occasional touches of real drama. The new leading lady, Kathryn McGuire, who makes her debut in this picture as a star, began her career two years ago and owes her quick rise to her beauty and her talent, both of which were promptly recognised by Max [sic] Sennett, the producer of 'The Shriek of Araby.'
