Summary
Signor A. Carpi is to present the Italian Grand Opera Company in a short season of popular favourites at the Star, beginning on Saturday. The programme includes 'Trovatore,' 'Cavalleria Rusticana' and 'Pagliacci.' 'Madame Butterfly and 'Carmen' are amongst other opera promised for a later date. The film programme at the Star until Thursday is Mary Pickford in 'Through the Back Door,' a film which was extremely acceptable at the Coronet, but which had to be taken off to make way for Griffith's 'Orphans of the Storm.'
