Summary

(To the Editor, S. C. M. Post) Sir, we consider that 'The Thief of Bagdad,' as appeared on the screen of the Coronet, is a lesson given to many of us that 'happiness must be earned,' but still it has a very deep significance to me. It gives me something of the evolution of man. I realise that it also gives me something of the Path of Perfection. Ahmed first appeared as a thief is a good example of explaining that a man is always found ignorant, greedy and selfish. The Holy Man showed him that at the end of the way was a silver chest that contained the greatest magic. So in 'The Thief of Bagdad,' when we look into it with a wider sense, we will find it is not a thing of a fairy tale, but really a thing of real importance to humanity. Yours, etc., Me Jin.
