Tientsin, November 25 – The Empire Theatre and Café, Tientsin's Palace of amusement and centre of gathering, was totally destroyed by fire during the early hours of this morning. Besides the valuable films in current use at the Empire and Kwangming Theatres, all the stock films and films used at the subsidiary Chinese theatres were stored in a special strong room. A valuable film, 'Lying Lips' featured for next week and extensively advertised. – Shanghai Times
