Summary

There was a good house at the Victoria Theatre last night to witness the first episodes of a thrilling new film entitled 'The Terror of the Range.' The management, enterprising as ever, has engaged the string band of Ecuador whilst that vessel is in port and besides playing for the films, the band gives two performances on the stage. The players are absolute masters of their instruments and their rendering of operatic selections was received with well-deserved and prolonged applause. This band is well worth going to hear for it is a revelation in mandolin playing.
