The proprietors of the Metropole Theatre have entirely renovated the interior of the building and have supplied comfortable seats in place of the chairs lately used. New scenery has also been procured, and a number of new performers appeared on Saturday night including Miss Gertie Masie, Mr Jim…

The state of the new seats in the stalls of the Theatre Royal, which made of teak wood and look substantial enough were falling into pieces. The arm-rests and the side of the chairs were decayed, which prevented use.

Miss Myra James and Mr Sam Gale, will make their debut at the Victoria Cinematograph on Tuesday evening. Little Sadie, the clever and juvenile artiste from the Australian halls, will also appear for the first time.
