Summary

Whether it is by design or accident that the Coronet Theatre this evening offers 'The Shriek of Araby' does not really matter, the only thing that concerns local cinema-goers is the fact that they are thus able to compare Mack Sennet [sic]'s famous burlesque with the picture parodied, 'The Sheik,' which was shown here only a couple of weeks ago. Mack Sennet [sic] wrote 'The Shriek of Araby' himself and supervised the entire production. For the leading man, he chose the inimitable Ben Turpin, the hero of 'The Small Town Idol.' The cast has Kathryn McGuire, George Cooper, Dick Sutherland, Ray Grey and Louis Fronde. It is an Allied Producers' picture.
