Summary

We ask you to consider Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, D. W. Griffith and Charlie Chaplin, the four greatest names in the film world, whose pictures are released under the name of United Artists' Film Corporation. Even the most prejudiced observer has to admit that their productions are in a class by themselves. 'The Thief of Bagdad,' 'Robin Hood,' The Mark of Zorro,' 'Way Down East,' Orphans of the Storm,' 'Dream Street,' each individually represented the high watermarks of moving pictures excellence. Wonderful settings, perfect acting and direction, superb laboratory work have made the compelling themes that these giants of filmland have used for their stories into the highest grade of photoplays presented to the public. We now state, without fear of contradiction that 'Rosita' with Mary Pickford is the equal of any of them, directed by Ernst Lubitsch, who made 'Passion,' 'Gypsy Blood' and other Pola Negri successes, with a supporting cast that includes Irene Rich, George Walsh and Holbrook Blinn. In giving the public 'Rosita' at ordinary prices, Hongkong Amusements Ltd. is trusting to increased patronage to reimburse them for the third most expensive picture they have ever shown. 'Rosita' will be screened at the Coronet until Wednesday next. It will also be shown from Thursday to Saturday at the Star.
