In the Summary Court this morning, before His Lordship Mr. Justice J. R. Wood, there was heard the suit of the Wong Ki Cheong against the Yue Yuen Kung Kee for $330. The plaintiff recited that under an agreement in writing plaintiffs agreed to give theatrical performances for the defendants in consideration of the latter agreeing to pay the plaintiffs ten percent of the total amount collected by the defendant for tickets sold for the said performances and $20 per month for each actor employed by the plaintiffs in their employ. In pursuance of the agreement, the plaintiffs employed a company of actors and gave theatrical performances on July 12th last. The defendants in writing terminated the agreement.
