Summary

William Makepeace Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair' has been the greatest fiction narrative of its age. Since its first publication in 1848, several plays have been made from this novel, which includes Langdon Mitchell's adaption under the title 'Becky Sharp' which features Mrs. Fiske. Marie Tempest gave another version at the New Theatre. The first American dramatization was produced in 1849, which was followed by further productions in 1857 and 1860. Famous novelist James M. Barrie, also made a stage adaptation of the novel. World Theatre will be screening the film version of Thackeray's novel 'Vanity Fair,' for 5 days. This Goldwyn production is directed by Hugo Ballin and features Mabel Ballin. The supporting cast includes Hobart Bosworth, Harrison Ford, George Walsh, Earle Foxe, Willard Louis, Eleanor Boardman, Robert Mack and numerous others.
