Summary

Probably the most widely read novel ever written in English is William Makepeace Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair.' Many plays have been made from 'Vanity Fair,' notably, in America, Langdon Mitchell's adaptation under the title of 'Becky Sharp,' which served Mrs. Fiske as a starring vehicle for several seasons. Marie Tempest gave another version at the New Theatre. The novelist and playwright, James M. Barrie, made a stage adaptation of the novel. A new version has just been made at the Goldwyn studios by Hugo Ballin, in which Mabel Ballin is starred at Becky Sharp. This picture will be the attraction at the World Theatre. Others in the cast include Hobart Bosworth, Harrison Ford, George Walsh, Earle Foxe, Willard Louis, Eleanor Boardman and Robert Mack.
