This new theatre will open tomorrow, 2nd September; The most comfortable theatre in the colony with excellent pictures and good music

The special band night at the Victoria Theatre last night was less well patronised than it might have been. The Band of the 18th Infantry played a most excellent list of pieces and the picture programme was full of fun. So good a show deserved to be well attended. There will be a new programme…

A large audience is attracted to the capital series of pictures depicting work being done by women workers in the munition works at home. Other pictures portrayed the Army Service Corps, the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Artillery at work.

The Manager of the Victoria Theatre had engaged two well-known artists, Messrs Abbott and Martell, who provided a turn of sensational nature. The performances of the Merry Wizard and acrobat in addition to new pictures were splendid.
